Terms of Service
The terms for using fivenines
Effective July 24, 2026
The short version
We built fivenines to help you find and land a job faster — reading your résumé, matching you to roles, and drafting application materials so you don't have to start from a blank page. Use it in good faith, don't try to break it, and treat the job listings and AI-drafted materials as a strong starting point, not gospel — always check them yourself before you hit submit. That's the gist; the rest of this page spells it out.
Who we are
fivenines ("we", "us") is a product built by Jesse Heaslip in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico. By using fivenines, you're agreeing to these terms with him, operating as fivenines. Questions: legal@fivenines.work.
What fivenines does
fivenines researches and matches you to remote roles, and — when you ask — uses AI (our assistant, Sol) to help you draft cover letters, résumé notes, and answers to a role's application questions from your résumé and the job posting. fivenines is currently free to use; if that changes, we'll say so clearly before charging you anything.
Eligibility and your account
You need to be at least 18. The information you give us — your email, résumé, preferences — needs to genuinely be yours and reasonably accurate; don't impersonate someone else or apply on their behalf without permission. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your access to it secure.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload — your résumé, preferences, and anything else you share. Uploading it gives us permission to use it to run the product: matching you to roles, generating application drafts, and the other purposes described in our Privacy Notice. We don't sell it, and we don't use it to train models for anyone else's benefit.
AI-drafted materials aren't final
When you hit Apply, Sol drafts cover letters, résumé notes, and question answers from your résumé and the job posting. Like any AI output, these drafts can be wrong, generic, or miss context only you have. Read everything before you submit it — you're the one applying, and you're responsible for what goes out under your name.
Job and company information
We pull job postings and company information from public sources — company sites, job boards, and similar — and do our best to keep it accurate and current. We're not the employer, we don't control their hiring process, and we can't guarantee a listing is still open, that you'll hear back, or that any of it is error-free. If something looks off, the employer's own listing is always the source of truth.
Acceptable use
Don't use fivenines to:
- scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the product or its data;
- submit fraudulent applications or impersonate another person;
- spam, abuse, or overload our systems, or try to bypass security;
- use it for anything unlawful.
We can suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate this.
Intellectual property
The fivenines product — its design, code, and brand — belongs to us. Your résumé and content stay yours. Job postings and company information belong to their original source.
No warranty
fivenines is provided "as is." We work to keep it accurate and running, but we don't promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that using it will get you a job.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows it, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of fivenines — including a missed job opportunity, an inaccurate listing, or an AI-drafted mistake you didn't catch before submitting.
Termination
You can stop using fivenines any time — email us and we'll delete your account per our Privacy Notice. We can suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or misuse the product.
Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these terms
We'll update this page as the product changes; the date up top reflects the latest version. Continuing to use fivenines after a change means you accept the update.
